Elden Ring brings the patented FromSoftware Soulsborne formula into an open-world setting, which means that there are a lot of bosses to be found in its sprawling environments. Unlike previous FromSoftware titles where encountering bosses was mostly just a matter of following the rails, players may have trouble tracking down all the bosses this game has to offer. To address the issue, one Elden Ring player has made a helpful map of every overworld boss location.
The soulslike genre is legendary for its difficulty, meaning that gamers can easily fall to basic enemies. Boss fights tend to be incredibly grueling challenges that force players to master every element of the games' combat systems. However, mastering the combat system won't help if players are unable to even locate some of Elden Ring's non-dungeon bosses.

Redditor fdsfgs71 created a graphic taking the form of a large, clean map of Elden Ring's setting, The Lands Between, with colored dots representing the location of each non-dungeon overworld boss. Apparently, they were inspired to create the map by their own frustration with existing maps of the game's many overworld bosses. The legend that allows players to identify what each dot means is found in the comments under the main post.
According to the legend, fdsfgs71 has divided the overworld bosses into a number of smaller categories and marked each with a distinct combination of color and shape. Bosses that appear all day are depicted as squares while bosses that only appear at night are shown as triangles. More specific qualities are marked with color: mounted bosses are green, flying bosses are light blue, and humanoid or giant-type bosses are orange.
