Elden Ring Player Discovers Easy Way To Put Trolls To Sleep
Elden Ring is full of horrible beasties ready to tear you apart limb from limb for just looking in their general direction, but there aren't many as imposing or irritating as the simple Troll. They're not too bad when you're just exploring around Limgrave, but they make themselves a problem once you hit the Mountaintop of the Giants. Everyone probably has their own way of dealing with them, but I bet you yours isn't nearly as effective as HoldMySoda's method.
First shared to the Elden Ring subreddit, HoldMySoda kindly shares their method of getting these pesky trolls out of your hair, and it doesn't actually involve killing them. Instead, they reveal that a single hit to a Troll with St Trina's Torch will send it straight to sleep due to its extremely low sleep resistance. To demonstrate, HoldMySoda has shared of a video of them simply walking up to a Troll, giving it a tap on the leg, and then walking away to watch the big sleepy galoot tumble to the floor.

If you want this torch for yourself to give any Trolls you come across an early bedtime, you'll have to make your way to the Consecrated Snowfield area of the map. Once you're there, you can find it in a carriage either directly to the northeast of the Consecrated Snowfield site of grace, or in a carriage in the southeast of the area. Best of all, it doesn't weigh much and you don't even need some ridiculous stats to wield it either, meaning you can carry it around in an extra slot as your sole Troll snoozing weapon.
Just be aware that this will only work on Trolls, so don't go whacking any dragons or knights expecting them conk out. If you want a more vicious method of dealing with
