Elden Ring drops players into a brutal open world filled with nightmarish creatures and bosses. Aside from these challenging creatures, some of the more intense battles players will encounter are with other players. In recent proof of this, one Elden Ring player showed off their recent invasion and clash with another player in which they used a trap to their advantage.
Elden Ring is the latest game developed by FromSoftware, and it features similar gameplay elements as other series from this developer. One of these is the ability for players to invade other players' worlds and duel them for rewards.

This clip from Reddit user PrinceOfWorms shows their recent adventure when invading another player. The title of their post, «I’m a bad man,» points towards the actions they undertake while doing so. Upon encountering the host player at Raya Lucaria Academy in Elden Ring, PrinceOfWorms notices that they are heading across a gap and on to a large set of sloping stairs. This set of stairs is the location of a trap in which an enormous ball rolls down the stairs, instantly killing unsuspecting players. PrinceOfWorms notices this and activates their Loretta’s Greatbow spell. Once this spell has reached its greatest strength, the player releases it and hits the host as they scramble up the stairs. This hit does just enough damage to put the targeted player right in the way of the fast-rolling boulder which then kills them.
