Talismans in Elden Ring are equippable items that enhance a variety of players' stats and abilities. Their bonuses range from combat-oriented buffs to adding resources (like HP and FP) and even some that prevent a player from losing anything upon death. The Claw Talisman is a combat-oriented one that strengthens jumping attacks.

Jump attacks in previous FromSoftware games were relatively rarely used, except as the first strike in combat, in part because there wasn't a dedicated Jump button. In Elden Ring the Claw Talisman enhances this move and is useful for just about every build that uses melee weapons.
The Claw Talisman enhances jump attacks, which normally do a massive amount of Posture damage and much more regular HP damage. With this Talisman equipped, it takes fewer Jump Attacks to break an enemy's posture and get a critical hit in. It affects both Light and Heavy jumping attacks, but Heavy jumping attacks are affected the most.
Heavy jumping attacks deal massive Posture damage, while Light jumping attacks are useful for flying enemies or groups of enemies. The Claw Talisman increases both types' damage by about 15%. Pressing RT (Xbox) or R2 (PlayStation) after jumping with the A or X button will initiate a Heavy attack, while RB or R1 in the air will initiate a Light attack.
The Claw Talisman is found about mid-way through Stormveil Castle on an area only accessible by jumping. From the Rampart Tower in Stormveil Castle, head upwards from the Lost Grace until you reach the upper balcony.
