Electronic Arts has released the third major update for EA Sports FC 24.
Title Update #3 addresses over 100 issues, while making various gameplay, audio and visual changes, according to the official patch notes, which we’ve republished in full below.
Among the many fixes, the patch addresses an unusual bug that was preventing players who have Ada Hegerberg in Ultimate Team mode from using her.
The patch was rolled out on Thursday morning for all versions of the game.
EA Sports FC 24 was released in late September for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch and PC.
The game has made a strong start, according to EA, perhaps even bettering last year’s FIFA 23 launch.
EA Sports FC 24 attracted “more than 11.3 million players worldwide, including through EA Play”, during its first week, the company claimed recently.
In comparison, a similar press release announcing last year’s “record-breaking launch of FIFA 23” said the game reached 10.3 million players in its first week. However, it didn’t specify if the figure included EA Play subscribers, who may have trialled the game but not purchased it.
EA announced last May that it was ending a near 30-year partnership with FIFA and that it planned to launch a new football series.
“EA Sports FC 24 isn’t the huge departure that we’d hoped for,” VGC’s review of the game concluded. “While Ultimate Team devotees will likely be happy, the rest of the game feels like an afterthought in the transition away from the FIFA license.”
