When gamers aren't happy with a product, there are numerous ways they can express their displeasure, whatever the reason may be, and one of those ways is through review bombing. Titles such as Hitman 3 have been the subject of review bombing, as was Deathloop. It essentially works by having a slew of fans, disgruntled in this case, giving low scores en masse on a game and lowering the overall reception of it. There are numerous reasons as to why players would want to do this, and it seems that even Dying Light 2: Stay Human has fallen prey to it from a particular set of gamers.
Representing the latest game to be subject to mass downvoting of review scores, Dying Light 2 has recently caused upset in the Italian community, which has led to a number of people review bombing the game on Metacritic. Some gamers are not happy about the fact that Techland didn't include Italian dialogue in the game, despite it including many other languages. One user even referred to is as a «heavy offense» to Italian people.

Despite Dying Light 2 releasing to mixed critical reception, there have been some great positives that many have praised, such as the parkour features. However, at the time of writing, the current Metacritic score for the game is 6.0. Since then, there have been some additional reviewers who have seemingly been lashing out at those review bombing the game. Inexplicably, some of the later ones have been calling out those who see the lack of Italian language as a negative, yet have still been giving the game a low score.
It doesn't seem clear as to why Techland left out Italian when translating the game before release, but it's entirely possible the studio could implement it,
