Chris Pine has revealed plot details for the Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves movie at San Diego Comic-Con. The movie will reboot the Dungeons and Dragons film universe, which had three movies released in 2000, 2005, and 2012. Pushed off to accommodate the release of Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One and then again due to COVID-19, Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves is set to release on March 3, 2023.
Starting with a lawsuit from Hasbro against Warner Bros. Pictures, the development of Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves ended with Hasbro moving the movie to Paramount Pictures. John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein were confirmed to direct in 2020 and announced they had written a new script, with Chris McKay and Michael Gilio receiving screenplay and story credit. Although not much is known about the plot or characters yet, Chris Pine will lead the movie, featuring Michelle Rodriguez, Justice Smith, Regé-Jean Page, Sophia Lillis, and Hugh Grant as the antagonist.
