A new Dragon's Dogma 2 patch is now live, introducing performance and stability improvements, as well as a Casual Mode and plenty of balance tweaks.
The September 17th patch introduces further fixes to issues around CPU overload in certain situations, which should lead to performance improvements in areas with a lot of NPCs, like town centers. The new patch also reduced the frequency of crashes, improving game stability.
All of the other changes the new Dragon's Dogma 2 patch introduces are related to gameplay. The patch brings a Casual Mode, which tweaks some aspects of the experience to make it easier, such as reducing inn fees and the price of Ferrystones, stamina consumption when dashing outside of battle, and more. In this mode, Pawns will also recover from the dragonsplague without triggering its most devastating effects, even when the symptoms progress to a terminal stage.
The new Dragon's Dogma 2 patch also introduces tons of Vocation changes for almost all Vocations, with the exception of the Trickster Vocation and other gameplay changes and fixes. You can find the full patch notes here.
Dragon's Dogma 2 is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, and Xbox Series S. You can learn more about what is more of a reboot of the series, rather than an actual sequel, with Alessio's review.
