Many may not have touched Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot since finishing the Trunks: Warrior of Hope DLC months ago. DBZ: Kakarot has had a Switch release since then, but there hasn’t been much movement since then. However, if a new rumor is to be believed, it could be getting a new DLC.
It is said to be announced soon, but Bandai Namco has yet to comment on this. This rumor comes from DBSHype, who also seemingly teased that this DLC would be based on Bardock, Goku’s father.
New Asymmetrical Multiplayer Dragon Ball Z Game in Development
All rumors should be taken with a grain of salt, but there are certain rumors out there that tend to be more credible. This rumor finds itself among the latter. The number one reason for this is its source, as it’s not some anonymous post on social media. Through the development ofDragon Ball Z: Kakarot, as well as with its DLC releases, DBSHype was a trustworthy, reliable source of early information. There is no reason to doubt them now.
The second reason doesn’t really support it as much as this, but it’s worth noting that Bandai Namco has provided Dragon Ball Z games with a ton of support. Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2, for example, is still getting new characters, with Goku (Ultra Instinct -Sign-) being recently announced. So, despite there being a huge gap in content, it means this rumor doesn’t appear to be out of left field either.
After the original post teasing the new Dragon Ball Z: Kakarot DLC, DBS Hype quote tweeted it calling Solid State Scouter a “nice soundtrack,” which can be taken as a hint for Bardock. Solid State Scouter often plays when he fights, so much so that it is often known as Bardock’s theme song. If this is the case, that also helps narrow down the content for this new DLC.
