Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness is approaching its big theatrical release in roughly a month, so it's expected that tickets for the film will go on sale sometime soon. Now, according to a new leak, fans may just have a specific date.
Following the events of Loki season one andSpider-Man: No Way Home, the 28th MCU film will follow Benedict Cumberbatch'sDoctor Strangethrough the alternate realities of the multiverse, as the sorcerer is forced to make new allies in order to defeat new enemies such as the villainous Strange Supreme. The long awaited sequel comes six years after its predecessors' release, making it the longest gap for an MCU character's sequel.
Doctor Strange 2 'Pushes The Boundaries Of Storytelling', Says Disney CEO
Following the reveal of the sequel's runtime, new reports indicate that Doctor Strange 2 tickets will apparently go on sale in the U.S. on April 6th. The news comes from box office analyst Jatinder, who noted that a similar date will be chosen for Latin America, Australia and New Zealand, and the United Kingdom. While not officially confirmed, this date would make sense, as most big blockbusters (most recently The Batman) have had their tickets go on sale roughly a month before their release, giving fans plenty of time to secure them.
On the other hand, other big MCU films like Spider-Man: No Way Home saw a narrower window, as the ticket sales date came less than three weeks before the film's big December 17th release, most likely due to its secretive came appearances. And with aDoctor Strange sequel that looks to live up to No Way Home's hype level, it's understandable if tickets don't go on sale until mid-April. But whatever turns out to be the case, fans can expect to see more images
