Divinity: Original Sin 2 has been rated for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
As spotted by Gematsu, the Definitive Edition of Larian’s RPG was classified for current-gen consoles by European games ratings board PEGI on Wednesday.
The sequel to 2014’s Divinity: Original Sin was released for PC in 2017. It won a number of awards and achieved a score of 93 on Metacritic.
The Definitive Edition is an enhanced version of the game featuring an expanded storyline and improved gameplay. It was released for PC, PS4 and Xbox One in 2018, for Mac and Nintendo Switch in 2019, and for iPad in 2021. It has scores ranging from 92-98 on Metacritic.
Larian’s most recent title, Baldur’s Gate 3, was released in 2023 and won multiple game of the year awards. It was even more warmly received by critics, earning it scores of 96 (PS5 and PC) and 99 (Xbox Series X/S) on the review aggregation website.
Baldur’s Gate 3 received official mod support in September with the release of its seventh major patch.
Having opened its seventh studio earlier this year, Larian is currently working on “two very ambitious RPGs” based on its own original IPs.
