The upcoming Disney-themed kart racer Disney Speedstorm has just unveiled a new track modeled after the classic 1991 animated film Beauty and the Beast. Based on the 1756 French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a book-loving villager who falls in love with the seemingly cruel and fearsome Beast while imprisoned in his castle. Beauty and the Beast has seen fan remakes in Animal Crossing, The Sims 4, and more, and is even featured in several Disney-related video games like the Kingdom Hearts series.
Earlier this year, Disney announced that it is partnering with Asphalt developer Gameloft for Disney Speedstorm, a Mario Kart-style racing game that will let fans speed through locations from classic Disney films like Monsters Inc. and Pirates of the Caribbean. Revealedduring February’s Nintendo Direct livestream, fans have since taken to social media to suggest their favorite movies and characters to be featured in Disney Speedstorm, and with lots of options, there's plenty of heroes and villains the game could add. Indeed, the developer behind Disney Speedstorm has slowly begun to unveil new tracks and characters for this upcoming race through the Magic Kingdom, including Pirates of the Caribbean heroine Elizabeth Swann.
