The second set of cards,, features a host of new characters, as well as some re-imagined versions of characters included in. It's an impressive addition to the first set, and the Illumineer's Trove for is an excellent way to start collecting these new cards. As its name suggests, the Illumineer's Trove is packed with items for the TCG, including eight booster packs.
Releasing officially on December 1, 2023, has been available in hobby stories since November 17. This second wave of cards has an eye for the competitive side of, but collectors should love seeing cards with new takes on classic characters like Cinderella, Belle, and Winnie the Pooh. As an entry point to the TCG, also works — and there are two new starter decks available with pre-made singe-player decks of either Amber and Sapphire cards or Amethyst and Steel.
The Illumineer's Trove box actually comes inside of a protective outer box that features artwork on the front and a list of the box's contents on the back. The Illumineer's Trove itself is made of fairly dense cardboard that's perfect for holding damage tokens, cards, and more. I keep extra decks and duplicates for collecting inside my box, and I'm sure I'll be doing the same thing for. Because of the artwork on the lid and sides, the box also looks great on a desk or bookshelf, which is an added bonus.
Most of what's included in's Illumineer's Trove is great. The player's guide booklet is of excellent quality, and it serves as a great way to see all the cards in the set, get tips on great card combos, and read up on the latest story. The booster packs (and the cards inside them) are also high quality. The cardboard damage tokens included in the box are nice, but the deck boxes are once again
