Disney and developer Gameloft have announced Disney Dreamlight Valley, a new free-to-play life simulation adventure game.
According to its official website, Disney Dreamlight Valley challenges players to restore a once-idyllic village ruined by a mysterious event called The Forgetting.
“You’ll need to build relationships with a cast of Disney and Pixar heroes and villains to uncover their lost memories and solve the mysteries of the Valley; all while making your mark on the land by customizing your dream village and bringing out your Disney style or Pixar adoration with your avatar.”
The game is set to release in 2023 for Nintendo Switch, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PC and Mac.
Xbox Game Pass members and players who purchase a Founder’s Pack will be able to join an Early Access phase this summer, which will be available on all platforms.
“Disney Dreamlight Valley will give our fans the opportunity to write their own story and build their ideal Disney and Pixar life within a richly detailed world populated with characters from some of Disney’s most iconic stories,” said Disney and Pixar Games vice president Luigi Priore.
Manea Castet, game manager of Disney Dreamlight Valley at Gameloft Montreal, added: “Our development team is a big family of Disney and Pixar fans and have poured all of our passion into the development of Disney Dreamlight Valley, especially in the way we depict characters and their story arcs.”
