Redmi K50i and Redmi K50i will be the two new additions to the Redmi portfolio in India soon! Based on the recent leak, the Redmi K50i models will continue from the long forgotten Redmi K series that debuted in 2019 with the Redmi K20 and Redmi K20 Pro in India. However, don’t be as excited as you probably were with the Redmi K20 series. That is because the Redmi K50i and Redmi K50i Pro will based on the devices from the Redmi Note series that launched recently.
These devices are actually the Redmi Note 11T Pro and Redmi Note 11T Pro+ that were launched in China earlier this week. Both these phones were expected to come to global markets either as a Poco device or as a Xiaomi device. However, based on the information obtain by tipster Kacper Skrzypek, the Redmi Note 11T Pro will become the Redmi K50i whereas the Redmi Note 11T Pro+ could become the Redmi K50i Pro. The Pro variant will also gain the 108MP main camera on the rear.

Note that Xiaomi India is yet to announce anything on this front and hence, we suggest you take this with a pinch of salt. If this turns out to be true, then the Redmi K series will make a comeback to India after three years.
Based on the known specs from the Chinese models, the Redmi K50i Pro could come with a 108MP rear camera while the regular Redmi K50i could get a 50MP main camera. Both the Redmi K50i and K50i Pro will come with a 6.6-inch FHD+ LCD display with a 7-step variable refresh rate of upto 144Hz. We saw this kind of a display last on the Xiaomi Mi 10T Pro launched in 2020. The phones could also a 16MP front camera. The displays support both DC dimming and Dolby Vision.
