American Idol: Emyrson Says She ‘Never Felt So Much Love’ After Exit
After her elimination from AmericanIdol season 20, Top 10 finalist Emyrson Flora thanked everyone who supported her for their outpouring of love throughout the competition. Emyrson is a 16-year-old high school student from Cleveland, Ohio. She was the youngest member of the Top 10. At her audition, she earned a vote of yes from all three American Idol judges, Lionel Richie, Katy Perry, and Luke Bryan after her rendition of «The Joke» by Brandi Carlile.
Emyrson found a place in the pop genre, singing songs such as «Angels Like You» by Miley Cyrus (Top 24), «Tell Me You Love Me» by Demi Lovato (Top 20), «drivers license» by Olivia Rodrigo (Top 14), and her Top 11 performance of «Lovely» by Billie Eilish ft. Khalid which Katy chose for her during the Judges' Song Contest. Emyrson earned her place in the Top 10 after America voted her through every round. During Disney Night, the Top 10 sang Disney classics, and Emyrson chose «Carried Me with You» from Onward. Unfortunately, she did not receive enough votes to make it into the Top 7, and she was eliminated along with Lady K and Mike Parker.

In a post on Instagram, Emyrson shared a series of photographs chronicling her time on American Idol, and thanked her supporters, saying, «I've never felt so much love in an environment before.» She said that it was «super hard» for her to express how much this experience has meant to her, writing, «I’ve met my family. I’ve learned so much every single day from start to finish.» She thanked all of the friends that she made every step of the way, saying,«you are all such amazing, talented, beautiful souls and i thank god everyday that i’ve gotten the opportunity to meet and
