Shortly after rumors of the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer release date began, Disney has debunked the claims that it is coming soon. Development on a second Black Panther movie began not too long after the first was released in 2018 to great acclaim and box office success. Director Ryan Coogler returns to expand Wakanda's mythology in the sequel, but he does so without the movie's main star following the passing of Chadwick Boseman in 2020. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever is instead shifting its focus to other characters and is rumored to include Namor as the villain, which has helped keep interest in the sequel quite high.
Thanks to Marvel Studios' various Phase 4 delays caused by COVID-19, Black Panther 2's release date has shifted substantially over time. It is now set to release in theaters in November 2022, which is just five months away from right now. Despite the movie's rapidly approaching debut, Marvel has not yet begun the marketing campaign. This has led to plenty of questions about when the Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer will release and show the return of Shuri (Letitia Wright), Okoye (Danai Gurira), and others.
