The Black Panther sequel is among the most anticipated MCU Phase 4 movies, and the desire to see footage has left many wondering when the first Black Panther: Wakanda Forever trailer will release. Marvel Studios launched the Black Panther franchise over four years ago and watched as the movie, led by Chadwick Boseman, became a worldwide cultural phenomenon. Director Ryan Coogler got to work on Black Panther 2 not too long after, and while the movie's future was questioned after the tragic loss of Boseman in 2020, everyone involved pushed forward with the goal of honoring his legacy.
After reworking Black Panther: Wakanda Forever's script to account for Boseman's absence, the movie finally began filming in 2021 ahead of a 2022 release date. The production has not been without several other challenges, as filming during a pandemic was difficult, and Shuri actress Letitia Wright became a controversial figure for her thoughts on vaccines. However, it is still lined up to be an exciting adventure for the MCU thanks to the debut of Ironheart (Dominique Thorne) and the expected villainous appearance of Atlantis' Namor (Tenoch Huerta). With the November 11, 2022 release date rapidly approaching, it is starting to get close to when Marvel Studios should release the first Black Panther 2 trailer.

The marketing campaign for Black Panther: Wakanda Forever has not yet begun. Marvel Studios has shrunk its marketing window in Phase 4, moving away from the days when a trailer would typically come out six months before the movie's release date.
