"Sorry to keep you waiting for updates on Digimon Survive. But today I would like to provide you with exciting news! The release date of Digimon Survive has finally been fixed for July 29, 2022,” said Habu. “The Digimon Survive team is planning to deliver more exciting news to you in all forms. Please look forward to it and stay tuned."
First announced in 2018, Digimon Survive was delayed four years due to a combination of pandemic-related troubles and development being transferred to a new development team. A teaser revealed last month was our first clue that Digimon Survive would arrive soon, showcasing several gameplay elements such as the world map and photo mode.
In Digimon Survive, you play as a group of high schoolers on a camping trip that stumbles into the world of Digimon. When wild Digimon attack, the students are saved by friendly Digimon who then team up to help the students find their way home.
Digimon Survive will release on July 29 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles. Japan, however, gets Digimon Survive a day early.
