Diablo IV is about to get the hardcore endgame content putting players' skills and builds to the test that fans of the game have been asking for since its release.
During the latest Campfire Chat, the developers of the latest entry in the series provided some additional details on the Abbattoir of Zir, which will become available on December 5th with the launch of the 1.2.3 patch. This endgame dungeon, which can only be accessed after clearing Chapter 7 of the Season of Blood, will require a Bloodforged Sigil that can be forged at the Occultist to enter. Once inside, players will have to kill as many enemies as possible within a certain time limit to spawn a boss. With its 25 difficulty levels, which influence both damage and health scaling of enemies, the Abbatoir of Zir will be more difficult than a Tier 100 Nightmare Dungeon, and only the best players will be able to explore it and live to tell the tale.
The new Diablo IV Campfire Chat also addressed some concerns regarding the possible introduction of "pay-to-play" mechanics, such as the ability to purchase additional stash tabs. As this is considered basic gameplay functionality, it will never be expended via additional purchases.
The Campfire Chat also revealed Diablo IV's first Holiday event, the Midwinter Blight, which will begin on December 12th. During this event, players will be able to fight against the Red Cloaked Horror and his minions, gather new materials, and craft new cosmetics. You can check out the Campfire Chat in full below.
Diablo IV is now available on PC, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One.
