Earlier this week, Diablo 4 players were giving their opinions on the recent beta that took place over the weekend, with a large number of them complaining about repetitive and predictable dungeon layouts. Many felt the dungeon boss would usually be in the same place, the starting location would be exactly the same each time, and that each layout followed a basic ring structure with differing dead ends.
Well, it turns out that this was apparently an intentional design decision from Blizzard, as the developer stresses that this is purely a beta issue and that we'll see more differing layouts across the whole game. In an interview with NME (thanks PC Gamer), game director Joe Shely has claimed that the repetitive dungeons are due to the beta taking place in the one location across the entirety of Diablo 4's open world.

"We put well over 100 dungeons in the game—many of those are not in Fractured Peaks," says Shely. "We expect that as you’re leveling up your character, you’re going to be adventuring through many different dungeons rather than doing the same dungeon over and over."
Shely also explains that the decision to make dungeons in the Fractured Peaks location very similar was deliberate, as it will apparently give them a "sense of place" and help tie them to specific areas of the world. It was revealed earlier this year that the Fractured Worlds area that made up the beta was about 20 percent of the overworld in Diablo 4, so hopefully the other 80 will feature some differing dungeons we can all sink our teeth into.
As for when that will be, Diablo 4 is still on course to meet its scheduled June 6 release date on which it will launch on
