Blizzard Entertainment and Nvidia announced earlier this year that Diablo 4’s PC version would be adding ray tracing support sometime in March, and now that we’re halfway through the month, we know exactly when that update will be dropping.
Nvidia has announced that Diablo 4’s PC version will add ray tracing implementation on March 26. The added ray traced effects will bring a number of visual enhancements, such as ray traced reflections on armor, water, windows, and other reflective surfaces, and ray traced shadows.
More updates on what to expect from the action RPG’s ray tracing implementation will be shared in the coming days. It’s currently unknow if we can expect similar enhancements on the game’s console versions.
Diablo 4 is available on PC, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, and PS4. It’s releasing for PC and Xbox Game Pass on March 28, but won’t be available to Xbox Game Pass Core subscribers. An expansion, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, is due out in late 2024, with new details set to be revealed in the summer.
