Users have found files indicating that the Diablo 4 beta has been added to the Battle.net launcher.
According to Wowhead, the Battle.net Catalog config files include new data which suggests the Diablo 4 beta has been added to the platform in preparation for a release.
While a release date for the beta hasn’t been announced and nothing can be downloaded at this time, the installation window is viewable.
Diablo 4 is planned for release in 2023 and sign-ups for the beta opened earlier this year.
As part of an ongoing promotional campaign, tattoo shops all over the world are giving out free Diablo tattoos, with fans who get one being informed that they’ll receive early access to an upcoming beta as well as a digital copy of the game.
Diablo 4, which won’t be playable offline, was originally announced in 2019 for PC, Xbox One and PS4. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions were confirmed earlier this year, with cross-play and cross-progression for all platforms. The game will also support couch-co-op on consoles.
In June, Diablo franchise general manager Rod Fergusson said Blizzard was “committed to delivering an incredible breadth of content after launch, for years to come, anchored around optional cosmetic items and full story-driven expansions”.
In another Blizzard leak, it appears that the company has accidently revealed the World of Warcraft: Wrath of the Lich King Classic release date.
