Following a free weekend on Xbox, Diablo 4 is free to download and play on PC from today through October 30th. Meanwhile, the Diablo Immortal team has issued a warning to cheaters.
The free trial is available now, and you can download Diablo 4 on PCthrough Battle.net from today through October 30th. Once you've downloaded the game, you can create a character and play up to level 20. The Xbox free play weekend included up to 10 hours of gameplay, and this should similarly give you a taste of the latest entry into Sanctuary to test the waters and see if you want to grab the full game.
Speaking of grabbing the full game, to coincide with the free trial, Blizzard has put all editions of Diablo 4 on sale for 25% off for a limited time.
Meanwhile, the Diablo Immortal team has issued a warning to cheaters. In a notice titled “A Statement on Cheating and Exploitation”, the team lays out the penalties for cheating and using third party programs or other exploits to gain advantages.
“While the vast majority of our players do not engage in this behavior, we felt it was important to be clear that we will take decisive action to help keep our game fair for all players,”they said. However, they make clear that using third-party programs to automate gameplay actions, buying items from unauthorized third parties, making fraudulent transactions, exploiting bugs in the market or in-game economy bugs, and things like account sharing and win trading will be met with some sort of sanction.
Accounts that cheat, use bots, or automation will likely be banned outright, while any gained gold or items related to exploits will be removed.
