The first wave of Diablo 4 closed end game beta invites has reportedly been distributed.
Diablo players on Resetera and Reddit began receiving invites to the game’s latest testing phase on Tuesday.
Invited users can sample a range of content that will be available after players complete the game’s campaign.
This includes Nightmare Dungeons, Whispers of the Dead, Fields of Hatred, Paragon Boards, and the game’s newest feature, Helltide.
“We have decided to focus the Closed Beta on Diablo IV’s end-game offerings for a few reasons,” Blizzard said last week. “The full story of Lilith’s return to Sanctuary is not something we would like to spoil prior to release—players will experience a post-campaign Sanctuary during the Closed End Game Beta.
“Also, for many, the end game is their favorite aspect of Diablo—we want to ensure it feels satisfying, and with no shortage of challenging variety to experience across many, many demon-slaying gaming sessions.”
The closed end game beta will be playable on PC and Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS5 and PS4 consoles, with cross-play and cross-progress for all platforms supported.
Blizzard has said that a large but limited number of beta invites will be distributed to players who have recently spent significant amounts of time playing the end game experiences of Diablo 2: Resurrected, Diablo 3, and Diablo Immortal.
Diablo 4 is planned for release in 2023 and public testing phases will launch early next year.
More than 40 minutes of Diablo 4 footage was seemingly shared online earlier this month.
