With Season 17 rapidly approaching, Bungie has begun to detail some of the changes Destiny 2 players can expect. In fact, the studio has even teased what's to come in next week's blog post which plans to detail the large scale sandbox changes that are on the way. While avoiding revealing specifics, community manager Dylan Gafner teased that the lengthy blog will have a detailed breakdown of the many Destiny 2 sandbox and weapon balances that are on deck for Season 17.
The post also revealed how the studio is planning to keep older dungeons and raids feeling fresh. Starting next season, the older content will be placed in a weekly rotation to help players bypass any lockouts on encounter rewards for legendary items. In addition, this dungeon/raid playlist will give Destiny 2 players access to a pinnacle drop tied to a weekly challenge, similar to other playlist activities. Ultimately, this should be a good way for players to farm gear.
