Warning! Contains a preview for Han Solo & Chewbacca #2
Fans of Star Wars who were ever curious as to Han Solo's father and upbringing can look no further than the upcoming issue of Han Solo & Chewbacca. As far as the revitalized Disney era of the Star Wars universe is concerned, the only time that anyone dared to delve deep into the origin story of the famed scoundrel was in the movie, Solo: A Star Wars Story. Even then, the movie only really goes as deep as 10 years prior to the events of A New Hope.
As far as origins go, that movie establishes early on that Han was an orphan, without going into any specifics regarding how or why he's been orphaned, or hinting about what happens to his parents. There is one brief mention of Han's father, but the scoundrel said that the two were not close. However, as this new comic series Han Solo & Chewbacca continues to redefine how readers see the character, the series also promises to reveal hidden truths about Han Solo that audiences never thought to question in the past.

Most interesting is that there seems to be some doubt about if this man actually is Han's father.
