With less than two weeks remaining until the Destiny 2 showcase event planned for August 23, Bungie is still keeping its cards close to the chest when it comes to revealing details about Season 18 and what the reprised Destiny Raid will be. Bungie did reveal that the release date for the Season 18 Raid will be on the first Friday after the launch of the new Season, which means that players will only have three days to prepare for it.
Another important thing that Bungie did say is that the legacy Raid coming back toDestiny 2 will not be Crota's End, as the company wants to bring back one of the big hitters — either King's Fall or Wrath of the Machine. While it makes sense to bring back Wrath of the Machine in Destiny 2 for some reasons, there are counterarguments that make King's Fall the better choice between the two, and also the more likely choice. In fact, King's Fall remains one of the most iconic pieces of content in the whole franchise, despite it being less rewarding than Wrath of the Machine.
