There are ton of cameos in, yet some key characters are noticeably absent. In particular, fans were left wondering about the fates of, who played significant roles in Deadpool 2. We’ll take a look at what might have happened to these characters and any info about their exclusion.
Domino, played by Zazie Beetz, was a fan-favorite character in Deadpool 2, known for her unique luck-based powers. Her absence in Deadpool & Wolverine was a surprise, as many expected her to continue as a key ally of Deadpool. This leaves Domino’s fate open-ended, with no hints or mentions of her in the movie.
Cable, a time-traveling soldier, was integral to the plot of Deadpool 2, with his futuristic technology being a central element.
Despite his key role in the previous film, he was left out of Deadpool & Wolverine. Cable’s time travel device was repaired in the mid-credits scene in Deadpool 2, so he may have returned to the future. Alternatively, he may have remained in the present to lead the X-Force.
Russell, also known as Firefist and portrayed by Julian Dennison, was a the antagonist of Deadpool 2, with his fiery powers and emotional journey at the story’s heart. Despite this, Deadpool & Wolverine does not address what became of him. The film’s focus on new characters and narratives meant that the Russell’s book remained closed. However, his story was wrapped up well in the previous movie, so a cameo wasn’t really necessary.
