One player going through the Dead Space remake noticed a small, but funny mistake regarding doomed CEC officer Chen. With a title that has been as critically and financially successful as EA Motive's Dead Space, it was only going to be a matter of time before players would catch on to some of the smaller details that are not supposed to be in the game.
Although the attention to detail in the USG Ishimura is one of the most laudable parts of the game, strange glitches and mistakes in Dead Space have been found lurking in the derelict ship alongside the necromorphs roaming its halls. Thankfully most of them are pretty funny and do not take away from the overall adventure, with this latest discovery being no exception.

At the beginning of Dead Space, right after arriving at the Ishimura but before receiving a warm hug from a necromorph, Chen picks up a book to inspect it. At first, it seems like just another detail adding to the scene where Isaac's crew are wondering where everyone had disappeared to, but upon taking a closer look, Reddit user Next_Yogurtcloset360 noticed that Chen was holding the book upside down and posted a screenshot from their game showing the oddity. The mistake is something many players are likely not to pick up on during their first time playing the game, but upon seeing it does inspire some to ask if it is a mistake or not.
