Hayden Christensen teases "a very powerful Vader" in Obi-Wan Kenobi. After years of rumors and endless speculation, Ewan McGregor's return as the iconic Jedi Master was finally confirmed in 2019. The series marks the franchise debuts of Rupert Friend, Moses Ingram, and Sung Kang as inquisitors, and Indira Varma as an Imperial officer. Written by Army of the Dead's Joby Harold and directed by The Mandalorian's Deborah Chow, Obi-Wan picks up 10 years after the events of Revenge of the Sith as the exiled Jedi watches over a young Luke Skywalker on the Lars Homestead before taking the titular character on a "rollicking adventure" and it sounds like Vader has spent that time recovering from his injuries and accumulating strength.
