Daredevil and Ahsoka star Rosario Dawson recently expressed her desire to appear in the Star Trek franchise next. The actor began her career as a child actor with her feature film debut in the controversial independent movie Kids at the age of 15. Dawson went on to have a successful career on both the big screen with roles in Spike Lee's He Got Game, Oliver Stone's Alexander, and Robert Rodriguez's Sin City, as well on television with appearances in Jane the Virgin, The Last Kids on Earth, and Dopesick. However, some of her most prominent recent roles come from Marvel and Star Wars franchises.
In 2015, Dawson starred in Marvel's Daredevil series as Claire Temple, a night shift nurse who assisted the titular hero when he was injured. Temple ended up being one of the main connective elements of a series of Marvel shows including Jessica Jones, Luke Cage, Iron Fist, and The Defenders. Also in 2015, she joined DC as the voice of Diana Prince/Wonder Woman in the DC Animated Movie Universe film Justice League: Throne of Atlantis, the fourth film in the series. The actor maintained the role for six additional films until the Universe's completion in 2020 with Justice League Dark: Apokolips War. Also in 2020, Dawson made the leap to Star Wars in The Mandalorian season 2 as the fan-favorite former Jedi Ahsoka. Following her live-action debut, Lucasfilm confirmed that the actor would lead a solo series about the character titled Ahsoka.
