Weird Al Yankovic has shared the first official image from the biopic Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, which has Daniel Radcliffe playing the famed comedic musician. Yankovic has made a career of parodying big-name musicians, such as Michael Jackson, Eminem, and Nirvana, often aping their music videos to hilarious effect, while churning out a number of albums in the process. Yankovic's last (and seemingly final) album, «Mandatory Fun» won Best Comedy Album at the 57th Annual Grammy Awards. He is also a well-known voice actor, who has worked on projects such as Pete the Cat, American Dad!, Bojack Horseman, and more.

Yankovic shared the first official Weird: The Al Yankovic Story image of Radcliffe in full costume and playing the accordion, noting that it was day 8 of the shoot for the new film. In perfect Yankovic form, the comedian says that a «cosplayer weirdo» (Radcliffe) showed up to crash the set of the new film. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story is a Roku Channel original, which is being directed by Eric Appel (Die Hart, Brooklyn Nine-Nine) and is written by both Yankovic and Appel.
