Harry Potter star Daniel Radcliffe has begun production on Roku's Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, a biopic of Grammy Award winner Weird Al Yankovic, who co-wrote the upcoming film. The newly released set photos show the English actor in costume as Weird Al, and he is virtually unrecognizable.

It was announced last month that Radcliffe will portray the famous musician, Weird Al Yankovic, known for parody classics like «Amish Paradise»and «Like A Surgeon.» In a typical tongue-in-cheek fashion that the musician has made a career out of, Yankovic said, «this is the role future generations will remember him for.»

Eric Appel, co-writer and director of the biopic, commented on the set photos, saying he is thrilled that people are finally seeing Radcliffe just the way he wanted, «partially costumed and shot with a telephoto lens from across the street.» The sarcastic comment shared on Twitter clearly illustrated the director's frustration with the leaked photos, but fans reacted positively to them and expressed excitement about Radcliffe in the role.
