A notable data miner has unearthed more information about the upcoming current-gen version of CD Projekt Red's Cyberpunk 2077, leaking the title's new box art and its possible soft relaunch. While CD Projekt Red confirmed that two major Cyberpunk 2077 updates were coming early in 2022, a recent leak claims that the upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 current-gen update will be a soft relaunch of the game with a new title and free DLC. These rumors have been shut down by the studio's PR Director, Radek Grabowski, though their response raised more questions than it answered.
Cyberpunk 2077 was released in late 2020 and quickly became one of the most controversial releases in recent video game history after it launched with an abundance of serious bugs, low frame rates, and blurry textures that decreased its performance on multiple platforms. Because Cyberpunk 2077 was possibly one of the most broken AAA games to ever hit shelves, both PlayStation and Xbox provided players refunds a month after its release, and PlayStation even went as far as to temporarily remove Cyberpunk 2077 from the PlayStation Store after severe backlash and ceaseless refund inquiries. Since then, CD Projekt Red has made revitalizing the maligned title a top priority, releasing several patches throughout 2021 and delaying Cyberpunk 2077's current-gen versions until 2022.

Twitter user and reputable dataminer PlayStation Game Size revealed the upcoming PlayStation 5 box artwork of Cyberpunk 2077, which appears to be teasing a current-gen soft relaunch. Compared to the original, the current-gen cover features the female version of V with her back turned, face covered and the Samurai logo clearly
