With Animal Crossing: New Horizons and The Legend of Zelda both being Nintendo titles, it is not uncommon to see a combination of the two games in community content or fan art. What’s more, given that both ACNH and Breath of the Wild are playable on the Switch, many current fan pieces often feature the two titles. Now, another Animal Crossing: New Horizons fan has taken inspiration from the Gerudo Desert in The Legend of Zelda, recreating the sandy area on the beach of their desert island getaway.
Crossovers between the two Nintendo titles seem to be community favorites. Online threads are usually filled with the fanbase sharing their recreations of popular spots in Breath of the Wild on a player’s island on Animal Crossing: New Horizons or custom designs of Zelda character outfits for the life sim characters. And even though both games are already more than several years old, the community always finds something interesting enough about the two games to keep making original content about them.

Showing off their design skills, Redditor Naydinfar-Crossing created their version of The Legend of Zelda’s Gerudo Desert on the beach of their Animal Crossing: New Horizons island. In the video footage they shared, the artist incorporated a lot of features such as sandy rocks and trees with sparse leaves and branches to accurately replicate the Gerudo Desert. They seem to have used a mix of items from both the base game and the Happy Home Paradise DLC of Animal Crossing: New Horizons to complete the overall look and feel of their recreation.
