Animal Crossing: New Horizons' entire premise is to live a sort of separate life through the game, but now the title has truly gotten a life of its own thanks to the numerous recreations players have been creating since the game's final update. The latest instance of this seemingly regular occurrence in Animal Crossing: New Horizons is the recreation of the viral «Chrissy Wake Up» song from Stranger Things. For those who are somehow unfamiliar with the meme-like song, «Chrissy Wake Up» is a humorous melodic remix of an otherwise terrifying scene, where Stranger Things Season 4 character Chrissy Cunningham is taken by Vecna, the series' main antagonist. Chrissy goes into a catatonic state for a while before her grisly death, causing fan-favorite Eddie Munson to repeatedly yell «Chrissy, wake up!»
Animal Crossing: New Horizons Player Recreates Dunder-Mifflin from The Office
A TikTok user and streamer by the name of Victreeon is the one behind the Animal Crossing: New Horizons version of the viral «Chrissy Wake Up» Stranger Things song, which is now becoming viral in its own right. The roughly 30 second clip first shows the streamer voicing their desire to have the meme melody as their island tune, before going to Isabelle to make the town tune themselves. After putting in the properly noted melody, Isabelle sings the new composition herself, which to the shock of the streamer, sounds close the words of the viral song.
