Composer Mick Gordon to donate Atomic Heart earnings to Ukraine
pcgamesinsider.bizMusician Mick Gordon has said that he will be donating the money he has made from Atomic Heart to Ukraine.
Taking to Twitter, the composer wrote that he would be donating his fee to the Australian Red Cross' Ukraine Crisis Appeal. He also called upon readers to do the same. The upcoming Atomic Heart is a BioShock-esque action role-playing game developed by studio Mundfish with a Soviet-era aesthetic.
"Working with Mundfish is an absolute delight, as they prioritise imagination and artistic freedom, which is evident in the game's stunning art direction and detailed world-building. I'm eager to see and hear my musical contributions come to life in the final game," he wrote.
"I am proud to donate my fee from the game to the Australian Red Cross' Ukraine Crisis Appeal in support of the people of Ukraine who are heroically defending their country against aggression. I believe it is important to support pro-peace organisations, stand up for what is right and help those in need, especially during times of crisis."
Mick Gordon was previously best known for his work on the revived Doom franchise, though he has parted ways with developer Id Software over the soundtrack from 2020's Doom Eternal.
