Between finished, ongoing, and upcoming shows, Star Wars is exploring a lot of different eras – here's the complete timeline of all Star Wars TV shows. While canceling Star Wars: The Clone Wars was one of Disney's first actions after buying Lucasfilm, the studio continued developing animated Star Wars content for television. However, after the launch of Disney+, Star Wars is also creating a legacy of live-action TV shows on top of continuing the tradition of animated series – all of which are set in different points of the Star Wars timeline.
Keeping a well-defined canon and a solid timeline was one of Lucasfilm's biggest missions with Star Wars. The old Expanded Universe had a lot of great concepts and stories, but the saga had yet to have a cohesive canon.
