Valve's online shooter Counter-Strike 2 has reclaimed the top spot on Steam.

It's actually the first time that the multiplayer title has been the biggest-selling title on the platform in a massive 19 weeks; Counter-Strike 2 was last in No.1 back in November. The game has been kept from the top spot by a number of things; in the last few weeks of 2023, the Steam sale brought the likes of Baldur's Gate 3 and Valve's own Steam Deck to the No.1 spot, while in 2024 to date, popular new releases like Palworld and Helldivers 2 have outperformed the shooter.

Speaking of Helldivers 2, Arrowhead Studios' smash hit charted in second place for the first time since its release last week. The game came out at the start of February and previously had been at No.1 but has fallen behind Counter-Strike 2 this week.

Pre-orders for Capcom's eagerly-anticipated Dragon's Dogma 2 were the third biggest seller of the week ahead of its upcoming March 22nd release. Both Valve's Steam Deck and PUBG: Battlegrounds dropped one place to fourth and fifth respectively week-on-week, while Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six Siege returns to the Top Ten at No.6. Ubisoft's online shooter sat in 27th place last week and has shot up the charts thanks to a massive 80 per cent price cut on the base game as well as the launch of the new Operation Deadly Omen round of content.

Meanwhile Baldur's Gate 3 also returns to the charts in seventh place, rising up six places from last week's No.13. This appears to be thanks to a ten per cent price cut on the massively successful RPG title. A 60 per cent price cut sees Dead by Daylight resurface to the Top Ten at No.8, while a 50 per cent reduction to Cyberpunk 2077 saw the sci-fi RPG shoot up a massive 47 places to ninth in the Top TEn.

Rounding off the Steam Top Ten is EA Sports FC 24.
