What better way to celebrate your Pride than running across Azeroth? The 9th Annual Running of the Trolls community charity event starts today at 6 PM PDT / 0100 GMT on Feathermoon-US, so roll your troll and come show your support a great cause! Support the Trevor Project with Running of the Trolls 2023 The Running of the Trolls is an annual community organized charity event in support of the Trevor Project, a support program for members of the LGBTQIA+ community. The event begins with a beach party at the Troll starting area within the Echo Isles, proceeding into a grand multicolored pride march across Azeroth, ending with a pool party in the Silvermoon City fountain.
Similar to the Running of the Gnomes, the Troll Run was created to raise awareness and increase visibility for WoW community members of the queer community and their allies, while raising money for a charity providing suicide prevention services to the youngest members of the LGBTQIA+ community. Open to all players, even those with only a trial version of the game, the run serves as an easy to access online pride event for separate from politics, regional location, physical abilities, or life obligations.
To join, simply log in on June 24th before 6 PM with a fresh level 1 Troll or bring your own existing troll character to the Echo Isles on the Feathermoon or Scarlet Crusade servers. A troll is a troll — as long as you show up and are respectful and kind to others, you are welcome to join! While there aren't any official raid groups, feel free to request an invite to one of the official race guilds: Running of the Trolls, Troll for Initiative, or Trollkyo Drift!
