Capcom has reported record sales in its financial year results, which covered the last 12 months that ended on March 31, 2023. The big takeaway from the published financial results was the sale of 41.7 million games during that 12-month period, up from the 32.6 million games sold during the previous financial year.
This new figure has broken yet another record for Capcom, making this the sixth consecutive year of «record-high profits» for the company. Out of all the games that it published in those 12 months, Resident Evil 4 and Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak were two of its best performers. Net sales were up 14.4% year-on-year, operating income was up 18.4% from the previous fiscal year, and ordinary income was up 15.9% from the previous fiscal year.
