With Resident Evil 4, Street Fighter 6, and Exoprimal, Capcom has already had three major AAA releases in 2023 that have done incredibly well for the company, but it seems it has another big title lined up for release in the coming months.
As reported by Bloomberg’s Takashi Mochizuki on Twitter, during its recent quarterly earnings call, Capcom confirmed that it intends to release an unannounced game by the end of the current fiscal year (which ends on March 31, 2024) that will “sell millions”.
What that game will be is, of course, anyone’s best guess right now, though there’s plenty of speculation that Capcom is preparing to release the next mainline Monster Hunter game.
The company is currently also working on Dragon’s Dogma 2, though the open world action RPG doesn’t have a defined release window. Meanwhile, Capcom also has sci-fi action title Pragmata in the works, though that recently got indefinitely delayed after an alleged development reboot.
Capcom says: -Sword Canes Studio has 22 employees, mostly animators. -plans to release one unannounced game, which would sell millions, by March next year
