Marvel's Spider-Man may be Sony’s greatest superhero, but the web-slinging wall-crawler is too big to stay cramped on PlayStation consoles. On Aug. 12, Spider-Man Remastered brings the acclaimed AAA open-world adventure to PC. But before all you aspiring Peter Parkers out there reach for the spandex, check to see if your rig can do whatever a spider can.
Spider-Man Remastered is the latest beloved PlayStation 4 game Sony is launching on PC. That in and of itself is pretty novel. However, in terms of sheer popularity, Spider-Man is in a league of its own. No disrespect to Kratos or Aloy, but this game has the potential to reach an even more massive mainstream audience on more platforms.
Spider-Man Remastered also includes the DLC and graphical updates we saw with the recent PlayStation 5 port. If anything, the game can look even better on PC. Enjoy extra graphics quality options like ray-tracing, DLSS, and support for ultra-wide monitors up to 48:9 aspect ratios.
Note that this is only a remaster of the original Spider-Man, not the Miles Morales spin-off from 2020. Like these other Sony ports, the PC release also serves as a tease for an upcoming PS5-exclusive sequel. Spider-Man 2 seems like a pretty likely 2023 game.
You can buy Spider-Man Remastered on PC starting Aug. 12 for $60. It’s available on Steam(Opens in a new window) as well as the Epic Games Store(Opens in a new window). Pre-order to receive a pack with new suits, including a suit inspired by Avengers: Infinity War.
