Screen Rant is excited to present an exclusive sneak peekfrom Green Lantern: Beware My Power, the newest DC animated film that focuses on John Stewart. Arriving July 26 on 4K, Blu-ray and DVD, the latest entry into the DCAU was directed by Jeff Wamester (responsible for the Guardians of the Galaxy series) and written by John Semper (who wrote for the Static Shock series) alongside Ernie Altbacker (Justice League Dark: Apokolips War).

In Screen Rant's exclusive clip from Green Lantern: Beware My Power, audiences can see that John has joined forces with Green Arrow (voiced by Jimmi Simpson), Adam Strange (Brian Bloom) and Hawkgirl (Jamie Gray Hyder) in order to understand the starting point of the Rann-Thanagar war. As they begin their silent investigation, however, they are ambushed by powerful villains and must defend themselves and each other to the best of their ability. Check out the full clip below:

While Green Lantern: Beware My Power is not part of the DCAU canon, it does form a continuity with the DC animated films that began in 2020. Affectionately dubbed the Tomorrowverse by fans, the new set of stories include Superman: Man of Tomorrow,Justice Society: World War II, and the two-part Batman: The Long Halloween.
Given that John Stewart has been part of the world of DC Comics for over 50 years, since his introduction in 1971's Green Lantern #87, it's only fitting that he finally be given his due as a leading member of the Justice League.
