Its no secret that Call of Duty: Warzone 2 is hampered with various stability issues. Although developer Raven Software has made attempts to improve the situation, it doesn’t seem to be quite enough. Now, the latest dev error on the battlefield involves sniper rifles causing Warzone 2 to crash as soon as you pull the trigger.
Sniping is a satisfying way to take down your opponents in Warzone 2 and a viable weapons to pick off players at long range. There are an array of options to choose from, depending on the type of marksman you are. The SP-X 80 is strong and agile, whereas the Signal 50 doesn’t have much in terms of mobility, but it has a powerful fire rate. Despite snipers being given a nerf with the launch of Season 02, some have the potential to two-shot enemies.
The issue has been highlighted on the Call of Duty Warzone Reddit, where a player posted a clip showing two separate times the bug occurred. As you can see, the player lines up a shot with a sniper rifle and as soon as they fire, they’re kicked from the game and hit with a dev error. Seemingly, this isn’t a one off glitch as it happens to the player twice. Also, others are reporting that they’ve encountered the same issue in both Warzone 2 and DMZ mode across all platforms.
At the time of writing, the developers haven’t responded to the Warzone 2 sniper bug handing fans a dev error. It could be a good idea to avoid sniper rifles in Al Mazrah and Ashika Island until a fix has rolled out. You don’t want to risk getting kicked from the match, especially if you make it to the end game and you’re close to victory. For now, keep an eye on the official Warzone 2 Trello Board to see if Raven Software indicate that it’s investigating the bug.
