Activision hasn't been shy about following this trend, charging players $70 for the first two Call of Duty games on current generation consoles. The trend appears to be continuing with 2022's Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, though PlayStation 4 and Xbox One owners will also find themselves paying $70 when the game releases in October.
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 is the sequel to the 2019 reboot of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, picking up where the first game left off as Capt. John Price forms Task Force 141. Along with Price, Gaz will also be returning, while series staples Ghost and Soap will make their debut in the rebooted series after first appearing as part of the initial year of Call of Duty: Warzone. Task Force 141 will fight alongside new character Colonel Alejandro Vargas in the new game as the elite unit's fight will take them all over the globe.
