Tacked onto the very end of the latest "This Week at Bungie" was a clarification to players regarding a "slight error" that was published on the company's website about Destiny 2.
Apparently, some confusion has arisen about the status of the Iron Banner bounties and if they would be removed at the end of the latest Season of Destiny 2. According to Bungie, they most certainly will not.

Bounties that are completed at any point during this current season will be preserved until after the release of Destiny 2's next expansion, The Witch Queen. However, there are some other caveats to keep in mind though. Any bounties retained from Season of the Lost will be capped at 1350 Power, and they won't give players any bonus Power in the next season once they are turned in. Additionally, these bounties will be removed at the end of Season 16.
Last but not least, players keeping track should know that the final season of Iron Banner will occur during the final week of Season of the Lost. Furthermore, all bounties related to Season of the Hunt, Season of the Chosen, Season of the Splicer, and Season of the Lost, as well as the Tangled Shore destination, will also be done away with at the end of the season.
For those players who may still be confused or worried about losing game rewards, Bungie suggests if players have bounties, they should turn them in before a new year of Destiny content hits the servers.
