Punch and click games have always been part of my life with one of my earliest memories which was pit fighter on the spectrum x2 and a more recognisable franchise double dragon which was on the Nintendo, they all had the same sort of attributes click punch and jump and an abundant amount of button smashing to say the least.
Brok the InvestiGator follows the same system you play most of the game as Brok the hard-hitting alligator detective while he is struggling to make ends meet due to the cost of living. Yes, alligators also struggle to live.
Taking the futuristic feel where robots and animals control the world, and some folks are privileged to live in luxury and be out of the toxic world where the other half live in fear and terror. Brok is a private dick that was once a former boxer who is trying to make money while looking after his teenage son Graff from his former wife that was lost in a tragic accident.
At first you will think the game is quite easy and you will start to discover that there are plenty of characters to meet and help on your journey and will have their own stories which you can choose to follow or not.
The combat system reminds me so much of Ninja Turtles not sure if you folk remember the good old days of visiting the arcades to play this masterpiece, but the jumping and the bashing of the buttons reminds me of fond past memories.
What I did like about the combat system is that you can change the difficulty in the options you can either go full Bruce Lee mode or you can choose the I’m going to take the chill pill approach, either way you’re going to die a few times or you’re maybe not.
