Bridgerton season 3 has recast one of the Bridgerton sisters with Eternals star Hannah Dodd. Based on Julia Quinn's collection of novels, Netflix's popular period drama revolves around the titular noble family as each sibling navigates the highly-competitive world of Regency-era London in search of romance. Premiering in 2020, season 1 chronicled the ruse-turned-fiery romance between the eldest Bridgerton daughter, Daphne (Phoebe Dynevor), and one of London's most eligible bachelors, Simon Basset (Regé-Jean Page), the endearing Duke of Hastings.
Released in March 2022 to record-breaking streaming numbers for Netflix, season 2 follows the eldest son and head of the family, the Viscount Anthony Bridgerton (Jonathan Bailey) on his quest to find a suitable match for himself. The Queen's diamond of the season, Edwina Sharma (Charithra Chandran), soon catches Anthony's eye and begins to pursue a match despite the disapproval of her older sister, Kate (Simone Ashley), and thus, an uproarious love triangle ensues. With six more Bridgerton siblings still unwed and plenty of source material left to cover, the Netflix series is expected to run for several more years, with seasons 3 and 4 already confirmed.
